According to the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, there are more than 604,000 Hispanic businesses across the state, contributing more than $90 billion to the economy
Unfortunately, the impact of COVID-19 on Florida’s small businesses has been unprecedented. Businesses in the leisure and hospitality industry were hit hardest. One study that heard from the leaders of 4,842 Small Businesses representing all industry sectors and located in 65 out of 67 of Florida’s counties revealed that more than half of businesses either voluntarily closed or were forced to close their doors, with more than 30 percent revealing their operations were still suspended during the time of the survey.
